Project Summary

This site was designed and developed by Envision Technology Advisors for a homeowners insurance company focused on properties along the Eastern seaboard of the United States.

Headquartered in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Narragansett Bay Insurance Company came to Envision looking to completely revamp their online presence as part of a much larger technology initiative they were undergoing. This initiative included not only a complete redesign of the company's Web site and online brand and messaging, but also a robust agent portal that 'serves as a home base for its proprietary underwriting and quoting systems.' Envision designed and developed both the agent portal and the public facing Web site for Narragansett Bay.

My involvement with this project included creative direction and some design and interface work on the agent portal, but most of my time was spent on the public facing site - where I contributed heavily to the design, created the Flash animation for the site's homepage, and built the XHTML and CSS templates that were later turned in .NET pages by Envision's development team.

This project was an exciting one to work on. The team at Envision was able to get in on a very large project at its earliest stages, which allowed us to help steer the ship in terms of design concepts and overall project direction. It was refreshing to be able to be a part of something really big right from the start and see it through to completion.

The launch of Narragansett Bay's public site and agent portal is just the first phase of a larger rollout of new services and technologies that they have coming and Envision is excited to be a part of these projects.
