Project Summary

With the opening of their second office, ophthalmology practice Southern New England Retina Associates came to Envision Technology Advisors looking for a new Web site to help them service the two unique audiences that their business catered to – patients and referring physicians.

Understanding that this client’s patient audience may have vision impairments, we worked hard with Retina Associates to ensure that font sizes and contrast of page elements were appropriate and would allow their patients easy access to the content they required.

Part of this approach was executed on the homepage of the site where we decided to focus on two large buttons, labeled ‘Patients’ and ‘Physicians’ accordingly. By allowing users to self-segment themselves, we were able to provide a clear, easy to follow path to access necessary forms or information relevant to that segment of Retina Associates’ audience.

The remainder of the site was populated with office/practice specific content as well as a wealth of educational information on the retinal diseases and treatments specialized in by Southern New England Retina Associates.

Like all Web projects at Envision, the entire team contributed to this project. In addition to my regular role as Creative Director, I was personally responsible for the design of this project and the build of the XHTML/CSS templates for the pages themselves.
