The Mythic Legions action figure customs of Jeremy Girard

Angel

Michael

As soon as I saw the figures from Mythic Legions 1.0, I knew that I wanted to add some of the feathered wings from the Gothitropolis Ravens wave onto one of those figures to create an Angel. While early information stated that these wings would, indeed, be compatible with Mythic Legions, in the end they were not. Refusing to be detered, I decided to find a way to make the wings work with these figures so I could create a number of angels for my collection!

Recipe

This figure started with the body of a Sir Ignatius figure. Since this is Michael, the leader of my angel warriors, I wanted him to stand apart from the rest of my custom angels, and the pearl armor on this figure did the trick. The purple cape is from a Jorund Runeshaper and the loin was painted to match that cape. The head is a custom made by Caste of Power.

To attach the wings, I drilled small holes in the back of the figure's pauldron armor (this was long before the 4H announced that they would be making adapter pieces to use these wings on Mythic Legions' figures). I wanted the Angel to be able to wear both the pauldrons and the wings, so I could not attach the wings using the holes in the back of the torso where the pauldrons plug into. A very small hole in the armor itself allowed me to pop the pegs of the wings in place and they stay intact perfectly! The connection point is not strong enough for me to display the wings in a "flight pose", but that was fine for me since I intended to have my Angels with their wings folded behind them. I also used golden wings on this angel, unlike the white ones I used on the rest of my custom angels, in order for Michael to once again stand apart from the rest of the display.

Michael's sword is from a Marvel Legends Thor figure, from the 2-pack that came with Valkyrie.
