The Mythic Legions action figure customs of Jeremy Girard

Bard

Toldurn Grayfallow

I have wanted to add a Bard to my Mythic Legions collection for quite some time. Initially, I had planned to use the smaller bodies from the 2.0 set for my Bard, but inspiration struck early, so I put this together! I actually plan on making a whole series of players, kind of like the Edema Ruh from the "Kingkiller" series of books. This is the first of my troupe!

You can read this character's story on my Instagram page.

The custom uses parts from a variety of places. The torso is from a Knight Legion builder. It was repainted along with his skirt piece so they would match. That skirt, and his cape, are from a Lord of the Rings Gondorian Ranger. The belt at his waist is also from LOTR. It was a piece from an Uruk-hai. I use it to hide the waist connection since the skirt looks a little thin where it connected to the torso. The head on this figure is from a Dragonage Duncan figure. It was dremmled out and added to the body.

The arms and legs on this are from a Barbarian kit. The gauntlets are a Silverhorn Sentry and the hands are from a DC Aquaman. I knew my Bard needed bare hands to play his lute, so I used these. They pop in pretty well and all I had to do was repaint them. The boots are customs from Marcus Akin, cast by Dave Castle, and the feet are from a MOTU figure.

Finally, my bard's lute was something I found on eBay. I looked for a 1/12 scale lute for quite some time and this was the best I could find. At first I thought it may be too big, but looking at some paintings of men playing lutes, there are some really big instruments out there and this may actually be a pretty good scale.
