The Mythic Legions action figure customs of Jeremy Girard

Bandit

Cyanicus the Bluejay

I have a number of the “avian warrior” figures, both from the initial Gothitropolis Kickstarter and the Eathyron’s Dozen wave. While the figures themselves are amazing, outside of new heads and paint jobs, they are really all the same figure (unlike normal Mythic Legions figures which have much more variety in terms of the parts used). Looking at my display of avian warriors, I wanted to see what I could do to add a bit of variety. Picking up Cyanicus, I thought about a book series I had read called Inkheart. There is a character is that series called the Blue Jay who is a famous warrior bandit. It was a pretty small leap for me to come to the idea to turn Cyanicus into the Bluejay bandit!

You can read this character's story on my Instagram page.

The base of this figure is obviously the Eathyron's Dozen Cyanicus. The coat is from a Lord of the Rings Aragorn, his bow from Faramir, and his quiver is from a Legolas. His swords come from a few places, but the rapier he holds is from a Palisades Muppets Captain Smollet. Finally, I added some paint to his wings to tie them into the paint apps on the rest of the figure, as opposed to just being straight blue like the normal production wings are. It was very simple paint apps, but I love what they add to those wings and I really dig the new look I have for Cyanicus the Bluejay!
