The Mythic Legions action figure customs of Jeremy Girard

Bounty Hunter

Dengaar

My “Hunter’s Guild” series of customs inspired by the Star Wars Bounty Hunters continues with my version of Dengar.

I imagined this character as a knight who was seriously injured during a jousting tournament. His mind and his face destroyed, he hides his identity and the damage done to that face behind bandages. Broken and disgraced, this former knight takes the name Dengaar and walks away from his life to instead make his way as a bounty hunter and blade for hire.

You can also read this character's story on my Instragram page.

Recipe

The most obvious design element of the Dengar character is his bandage-wrapped head. To achieve that here, I actually commissioned a custom head from LuvNidleness Customs. Working off reference materials I sent him, this artist created this head which works perfectly as my Mythic Legions Dengar. Personally, I also think it is a pretty cool custom head that can be used as an injured knight or even an undead, mummy-like character! If you’d like one of your own, head over to his page and send him a message. Be sure to tell him that I sent you his way!

The Dengar costume is a mix of white and brown, so I went with a combo of parts from a Knight Builder kit and a Silverhorn Sentry, painting the greens on the Silverhorn armor to silver to work better with this design. His quiver, arrows, and large crossbow all come from LOTR figures.
