The Mythic Legions action figure customs of Jeremy Girard

Dragonblade

Sir Bill, the "Dragonblade"

This figure is a tribute to the Dragonblade toy that was released in 1998 by McFarlane Toys as part of their “Total Chaos” line. I had that figure many years ago, but until recently I did not know that the head sculpt on that toy was based on the likeness of Fourhorsemen Toydesign regular collaborator Bill Mancuso. I heard Bill mention this fact when I was at the G-con event a few months ago and I immediately came up with the idea of doing an updated version of this character as one of my Mythic Legion customs!

Recipe

The recipe on this is pretty straight forward. The body is from a Knight Legion builder. The tunic, extra blades on his armor, neck armor, and shield addition are all from the original Dragonblade toy and his sword is a 3D printed weapon from the Stranger than Fiction shop on Shapeways. The head is from a Marvel Legends Black Knight. I repainted the head and sculpted the facial hair. Finally, the cape is from a ToyBiz Lord of the Rings figure.
