The Mythic Legions action figure customs of Jeremy Girard

Leprechaun

Donore O'Meath

During the original All Stars 2 sale, I ordered a pair of Deltigar figures, so that I could display the figure with each of his heads. Looking for something to do with the extra Deltigar head, I was blown away by Nikki Nikole Chaney's awesome dwarf prince. I had never seen the head as a possible dwarf, but once I saw that custom, I couldn’t believe I hadn’t seen that possibility myself sooner! Not wanting to directly copy Nikki by using this head on a dwarf, I started considering other options, eventually deciding to use this to make a new race for my version of Mythoss. I give you my Mythic Legions Leprechaun – Donore O’Meath.

I wanted my Leprechaun to be different from the stereotypical portrayal of this race. No little green suit or bowler hat here! Size wise, I wanted him to basically be somewhere between a dwarf and a goblin, so I literally combined the two! The upper body is from a Cavern Dwarf with some gold paint added to the details. His legs are from a King No’Glin goblin figure. Those two pieces do not snap together, but I found that by slicing the opening on the faulds armor (which is from a Cador), I was able to push the peg from the pelvis piece into the hole on the torso in a way that it held in place pretty tightly! The figure loses the back-and-forth movement of that joint, but it worked great for me anyway. With these parts, I do admit that the body proportions are a bit strange, but I actually wanted that. I liked the idea of his legs being a bit spindly with a big belly and head. To me, that added some nice variety to the figure’s design and it set him apart from being a dwarf.

To wrap this up, I added a skirt piece and cape from a LOTR Faramir, which also allowed me to get a little green color on to the figure without it being too over the top. His stick is from a LOTR Bilbo. Finally, I painted his hair a shade of orange and gave him a chest of “gold” to guard.
