The Mythic Legions action figure customs of Jeremy Girard

Cyborg

Kronnaw

It is amazing what the Four Horsemen have been able to do by combining pieces from their parts library in different ways to make new figures. There is no better example of this than the Mythic Legions MOTU-inspired figures. I recently got my hands on the Powercon version of Kronnaw, which is of course a tribute to the classic MOTU villain Trap Jaw. I always loved Trap Jaw as a kid, and I dug how the Horsemen designed him for the Mythic Legions line. Still, as cool as he is, I wanted to upgrade him a bit – and since I am a customizer, I am not limited to just the existing Mythic Legions parts library like the 4H are!

My favorite version of Trap Jaw is the one from the 200x line, which the 4H also designed. I wanted my Kronnaw to have more of that 200x Trap Jaw feel.

Obviously the main part of this custom is the Kronnaw figure itself. I added some paint detailing to his armor so he really looked like he’s worn and used. I then set about upgrading his “weapon” arm. The large shoulder armor is from a Warcraft Arthas, while his hook weapon attachment is from a Spawn Cy-gor. I also gave him a second weapon arm which connects at the elbow. That arm is made up of a piece from a GI Joe Sigma 6 Lt. Stone with a buzzsaw attachment from a Marvel Legends Warlock. I really like how these large weapons change the menacing profile of this toy!

The other big upgrade I did here was the head. As much I appreciated how the 4H were able to use the parts they did to create their version of Trap Jaw, I wanted mine to have more of a wicked bite! I took a head from the 2.0 Skeleton Solider Builder and removed the helmet (it does come apart with some force). This allowed me to slice the lower jaw off. The new jaw I used came from a Warcraft Headless Horsemen. I carefully sliced the lower jaw off of that figure and painted and combined all the parts to make the head I finally used here for my version of Kronnaw/Trap Jaw!
