Project Summary
Halls Masonry and owner Troy Hall provide masonry services to Rhode Island and the surrounding communities in Massachusetts and Connecticut. During the floods of 2010 that submerged much of RI under water (including my basement), Troy was my hero - helping my family recover from the damages done by this disaster.
I spent quite a bit of time talking to Troy during this incredibly stressful ordeal, and his attention to not only our home's problems and damages, but also our general mental well being, showed me what a solid guy he was. When he found out that I designed websites for a living and began to ask me questions about it (having wanted to have a site of his own for sometime), I was only too happy to help.
This is a fairly small project, aimed primarily at giving Halls Masonry a way to easily showcase photos of past jobs and completed projects - rather than lugging around a big book of photos, which was what they had been doing. The new gallery, which is powered by Google Picassa and styled using some jQuery goodness, allows Troy to send prospective clients to his site to view his work. Still, small project or not, I wanted to deliver the same level of service and attention to detail that Troy showed when he was working on my home.
