The Mythic Legions action figure customs of Jeremy Girard

Drowned Ogre

Guurlumass

This uses a custom head from MAFC. It was actually a show exclusive at November’s LegionsCon and I have had it on my workbench since then waiting for an Argemedes body to use it with!

As soon as LegionsCon was done, I saw lots of people paint these heads green. It made sense, since the green ogre bodies were what was available and since they were using the head to make a Cthulhu-like character, but I did not want to go green on this. Making him into Cthulhu felt too “on the nose” to me, so instead I came up with this idea of an aquatic ogre sub-species.

Recipe

As already mentioned, the head on this is from MyActionFigureCustoms.com. I painted the head to match the Argemedes body and accessorized him accordingly. I used some craft store fabric to give him some cast-off “fishing nets” for his loin and cape, and his weapons are from a Spawn Poacher figure (spear) and some 12” figure (sword). I also gave him some armor using a cheap plastic turtle shell that I painted and used some strapping to “lash” it to his arm. The figure’s armor and weapons were painted to look rusted and oxidized to complete the look of my Drowned Ogre.
