The Mythic Legions action figure customs of Jeremy Girard

Rodere

Skorn Plagueblades

This custom, which I debuted on my Mythic Conversations show last night to show how some simple paint effects can add so much to armor details, is a bit of a hybrid project - the result of work from both myself and the amazing Nikki Nikole Chaney. I bought this head, as well as a few others, from Nikki a short time ago. I liked the idea of creating a few customs that were of a bit of a collaboration between the two of us. Nikki and I have both been customizing Mythics since the early days, and we are friends who regularly share tips, conversations, and parts to help each other out, so the idea of a collaborative custom really appealed to me!

I used the Rodere head, which is from MAFC and sculpted by Lee Robinson, to create a villain to set against the trio of Rodere heroes I finished awhile back. I also liked the idea of once again using the samurai armor from the Articulated Icons series from The Fwoosh. I added some painted wear to the armor, since I would expect a “samuarat” to have less than pristine armor on, added a tail from a cheap Halloween decoration, a pair of swords from some LOTR figures as well as a skirt piece from a Boromir, and some custom feet from MAFC to a Mythic Legions Thwikk body and I had my custom Rodere swordsman.
