The Mythic Legions action figure customs of Jeremy Girard

Lord of the North Pole

Klaus

This custom kind of came together by accident. After posting my Winter King custom, someone on the 4H board suggested I make a "battle Santa". Interestingly enough, I was working on a new barbarian at that time, so I decided to create this new character - Klaus, the Lord of the North Pole. He is now part of my "Winter Court" alonside Morozko the Winter King, the Mari Lwyd, and Krampus.

You can read this character's story on my Instagram page

Recipe

The body on this is a barbarian kit with the leg armor and lower arms/hands from a Baron Volligar. I added some silver paint wear to all that armor to weather it a bit.

The head is a custom cast I bought on eBay. It is a Marvel Legends Bor. I used some sculpting compound to add a mustache and painted it to match the rest of his facial hair. I am not much of a sculptor, I but I like how this came out and it gave me the look I wanted for this character. Once I had the mustache added, I painted the entire head and helmet to match the figure's skin and armor parts.

The rest of the parts for this came from a Spawn Bloodaxe figure. The cape, shoulder armor, loin piece, and axe are all from that figure. I had to trim a bit off from the top of the cape to get it to fit, and then I glued it to his back (since there was no other good way to attach it. The shoulders are basically just resting in place, but since the horns on the helmet intertwine with the horns on the shoulder pads, they keep them in place nicely. Finally, the shield is from a Lord of the Rings Boromir.

This figure is now part of what I am calling my "Winter series", since it works so well alongside that aforementioned Winter King and my Krampus custom, as well as one more figure I am working on for this series, so look for that one soon!
